Here’s a great opportunity.
Tell your UCAS story: Blog to thousands
Put your writing skills to the test and inspire your peers
We want creative people to write about what it’s like applying to uni for UCAS Connect. Visited by over 50,000 people in August alone, it’s a great place to get your work seen.
To take part, send us up to 300 words on your experience so far – the highs, lows, the hardest parts and what you wish you’d known before. We’re looking for an honest account so don’t be afraid to say how you feel. We’ll choose six blogs to be published at ucasconnect.com, and there will be prizes throughout the year for the most influential or engaging pieces. Find out more from John at UCAS >
Enter before 14 October 2011.
So what are you waiting for? Get blogging! >
Here’s some guidance on what we’d like to see…
In your blog, focus on key topics throughout the application process – applying, waiting for decisions, open days / conventions, getting advice, choosing a uni, waiting for results etc.
Think about how you’d feel reading the content – does it answer questions, provide tips, appeal to you, is it engaging, would you want to read more?
Talk freely about your experiences – good and bad; we want it to be a true account of what you’re going through. But there are two points that we have to abide by:
• No offensive language
• No promotion of alcohol.
Other than that, say what you like!
Every three months, we’ll review all the posts over that period and there will be prizes for the most engaging content.
