Updates from Brandeis Admissions

Posted by Mr.K on 1st November and posted in Scholarships and awards, US Colleges

Brandeis is a private research university with a liberal arts focus in Waltham/Boston, Massachusetts. It is able to offer significant financial aid to international students. Each year, we give more than $1 million in scholarships to international students. Furthermore, we meet 100% of demonstrated financial need for international students who are admitted. To be considered for these scholarships, international students must submit the CSS Profile and supporting financial documents.

This year our testing policy has been updated and all applicants will be required to submit the SAT or ACT with writing.    If the SAT or ACT is not offered in a student’s home country, they can request an exemption from this requirement by e-mailing admissions@brandeis.edu.  Students for whom English is not their native language are required to submit results from either the TOEFL or IELTS. Applicants who, for four or more years, have attended a high school where the primary language of instruction is English are exempt from this requirement.

For this admissions season, the international contact person in our office will be Admissions Counselor Meghan McHale.  She can be reached at mmchale@brandeis.edu and would be happy to answer any questions you might have.  As time in your schedule allows, I’d like to encourage you to get to know Brandeis better. You can also view a snapshot of the University Fast Facts and see our full international travel schedule online.
